Mother's Day Blessing
My Blessings
Do we ever stop to count our Blessings or do we complain about what "we don't have" or what we "wish we had?" Sometimes it is so easy to take for granted all the "little" things in life. This Mother's Day I want to name some of my blessings as a Mom!
1. I am thankful for toys scattered all over the floor, it means I have little ones around who are playing and having fun!
2. I am thankful for tons of dirty dishes, it means I have plenty of food to feed my
little ones.
3. I am thankful for little arms that reach around my neck and hug me tight after I come home from a long day at work.
4. I am thankful for the clingy baby who doesn't want to be put down, it means I have
someone who wants and needs me!
5. I am thankful for the crabby times, it gives us opportunity to teach about kindness,
forgiveness, and loving each other despite our differences.
6. I am thankful for the hard times, it teaches us to rely on God for strength and
teaches me about faith, trust and who God really is...
7. I am thankful that I have 7 Blessings that call me Mommy! They teach me hard
lessons in patience. :) They love me unconditionally. They make me laugh,
cry and they make me so proud!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! I would not give
up being a mommy for anything in this world!
8. I am thankful for all the homemade cards and pictures given to me by my children!
9. I am thankful for a messy house, it means that I have little ones around. One
day I will have a perfectly clean house, but I will miss my little ones and
wish them back!
10. I am thankful for all the noise! When I get the rare chance to have peace and
quiet I can't stand it because I miss my children so much! :)
These are just a few things that I am thankful for this Mother's Day! I am so glad that God has so richly blessed me! I love my children so much!!!

Little House on the Prairie
Someone nicknamed our place "Little House on the Prairie." We just absolutely love living in the country although we really miss living in our previous town and miss all of our friends there very much!!! We have been wanting to get chickens for eggs and the children were begging for chicks, but I didn't want to start peeps yet. So we got some older chickens for now. Maybe in the spring we can get some chicks. The boys love having animals to take care of too! It will be good for them and teach them responsibility. They needed some outdoors work to do and this is a great start for them! We would like to get some other animals too. We will have to see how it goes. The chickens look a little rough right now, but they are coming out of a molt. I will be glad when all their feathers grow back!!! We are just excited to have some animals!!! :)

Home
A roof to keep out the rain,
Four walls to keep out the wind,
Floors to keep out the cold –
Yes, but home is more than that.
It is the laugh of a baby,
The song of a mother,
The strength of a father,
Warmth of loving hearts,
Light from happy eyes,
Kindness, loyalty, companionship.
Home is the first school
And first church for young ones,
Where they learn what is right,
What is good and what is kind.
Where they go for comfort
When they are hurt or sick.
Where joy is shared
And sorrow eased.
Where fathers and mothers
Are respected and loved,
Where children are wanted.
Where the simplest food
Is good enough for kings
Because it is earned.
Where money is not so important
As loving kindness.
Where even the teakettle
Sings from happiness.
That is Home.
God bless it!

Our Summer So Far!
The end of May we went to our Campmeeting. We really enjoyed it even though I was sick the whole time and a couple of the children got sick as well. The messages were just what we needed and I think the devil was trying to keep me away, but it didn't work!!! I thank God for the help I received during the services!
After Camp it was Board Meeting and we had to go to one night of that to give a report to the Board. It went really well and it was encouraging to hear everyone else's reports. I don't like it that others have their struggles, but it made me feel like I am not alone! Along with the struggles there were also victories that they testified too. God is so good to us all!!!
I have had several Prenatal visits this summer as the new baby is due on July the 4th! The baby was breach for awhile, but now has turned!!! Praise the Lord!!! It was beginning to look like he/she wouldn't turn. So, now we are getting really excited to meet our Precious Blessing!!! The children can hardly wait!!! My due date is only 8 days away!!! Where did the time go? It seems like the time has just flown by so fast!!!
There are so many changes going on right now!!! We still have a lot of busy times before summer ends and school begins!!! Busy but exciting!!!!

I went in to clean up the kids playroom last night and what to my terrified eyes did appear, but this daring creature!!! It's called a Plains Garter Snake. I screamed bloody murder! Jeff, Jeff, a SNAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I kept screaming till he woke up and came to my rescue! By that time the snake had disappeared amongst the toys. The snake was sighted again, but escaped capture. I was totally hysterical! Give me a mouse any day!!! The kids are not going in there till that toy room is picked up and thoroughly searched. Thankfully it's nonvenomous, but I don"t care. I DO NOT LIKE SNAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Later post:
Before going to bed I heard that snake in there and sent Jeff in there to get it! He got it and took it outside of town and dropped it off. I still don't think I will feel comfortable letting the kids in there till The room is thoroughly searched and picked up! Did I mention I Strongly DISLIKE snakes???????

Sickness
Jeff has been sick for 5 days now! He went to the doctors yesterday and he has some kind of bacterial infection and slightly dehydrated. They are running more tests to see if they can find out what he has exactly. I am glad he gets to be home instead of the hospital!!! He wasn't dehydrated enough to be put in for IV's! YAY!!! He went to work today and I think he is feeling a little better.
Jesse is so Daddy's boy and he is usually a Mommy's boy too, but here lately he has been wanting Daddy to hold him to go to sleep. :) It turned out they both put each other to sleep! :) I just had to take a picture of them together!
